Favela of My Dismay
Just read the news that Children of Bodom lost three members due to utter sucktitude. Anyhow, I remember catching these screeching fucks more times than I care to recall. Believe they always opened up for more worthwhile acts. Nevertheless, I nodded along with brew in hand. What is expected from an RC'er in 2005? No one knew any better at the time. Anyhow, my inner mascara runs from the thought of my acrid sensibilities of that age. Couldve easily spared my liver a pint to go take a shit. Who know which RC'er would be awaiting on the otherside of the camode?

Discuss total shit acts ye have caught live.

Not to be obvious, but Dimmu Borgir was garbage. Enslaved and and Blood Red Throne blew them off stage.

Opeth was adequate. Good music. They just looked bored.

God Forbid sucked

Yeah, it seems like they really gave up. Even a few years ago, the music was still shitty but they had some honesty in their live performances.

I caught King Diamond on Friday. Great show. He was definitely struggling during a couple of songs, but overall he sounded fine. They were probably a bit tighter when I saw them during the Abigail tour... this time around, the whole band pretty much blew it on Sleepless Nights. They played "Burn" which was outstanding. Well worth it because I love King Diamond, but face value mezzanine seats were over $100! That's more than the seats for Iron Maiden or King Crimson from earlier this year. Hey, whatever. The guy is selling out big venues so why not.

Dunno about shit acts, I usually avoid them, but I once spent the better part of a Steve von Till set on the nearby shitter due to a wicked bug, and it was amazing. Music came through just fine purged from the obnoxious chatter from the crowd, could enjoy all of it while leaking like a man does.

i walked out of mayhem at wacken probably 2004

it was shit

i’ve seen my fair share of hot garbage but most of it not high profile enough for me to even remember the band name

Mayhem is obviously just a cover band now, but at least their original output is slightly better these days....

i mean, i guess

i heard some of the new album and it sounds ok for what it is but to paraphrase quorthon, it don’t move me (i don’t give a fuck)
