...something melodic and emotional; something I can get into but not too heavy. Keep it within black and death metal. And nothing obvious.

edit-pretty vauge, I know, but I'm just looking for anything along those lines. I'm all out of music :(

yes... 'melodic' and 'emotional' are both pretty vague to me at least... cause I usually see the majority taking only one single idea of what either means and it's not what I subscribe to.

I guess I can go with the stuff I recommended in another similar thread:

Lengsel - Solace
Lengsel - The Kiss, The Hope
Amesoeurs - Ruines Humaines
Njiqahdda - Ints-Nji-Verfatu

and then Gris - Il était une forêt...

I suppose they might be obvious in some cases, but oh well.

Altoriu Seseliai
Beatrik
Forteresse
Gris
Nibdem
October Tide
Sombres Forêts
Vhernen
Year of no Light

Hopefully not too obvious, these are some bands I find to have a fairly emotional edge, intended or not.

I'll second Gris and October Tide. I just got that Gris last week and it's wonderful. Also Krohm. A little obvious but if you haven't heard them then do so.

I also recommend Gris.

Also check out Slumber - Fallout. It's melodic doom.
