How can i route my pre out to my soundcard? (ENGL POWERBALL)

Got it today .. had no time to try but which is the right out? and is ENGL->soundcard correct or do i need something between like ENGL->santa claus->soundcard?

eNGL send -> soundcard
And don't turn on the amp without a cab connected.

I have also been thinking of doing this with my Fireball, when you say Send, do you mean the FX Send? Also what kind of cable should I be using, is a regular guitar cable ok?

Yes it's the only "send" i see.. at least on my pb..
