how is this mix (instrumental prog. metal)?

I been working on re-recording one of my tunes, I added some new parts and worked on the mix.

What do you guys think of the mix/playing/sounds/riffs, etc.

A tiny bit more bass could, in my opinion, fit the style better. But that's a stylistic taste thing.
Otherwise I find nothing to criticize. Awesome mix. Awesome music.

Should I just turn up the bass guitar, or do you mean in general the bass frequencies of the whole mix should be turned up?

I would basically say, through laptop speakers, the highs of the hi-hat and the very top end of the guitars are a little cutting. Through every medium though, you need more bass.

Maybe a bit of both, but for starters turn up the bass guitar and maybe eq more bass into it.

I like clicky kick drums. For starters I'd just add bass. Roar it up in there.
