How should I eq/blend these vocals

Its no where near finished and there isn't bass yet but I'm having a tough time getting the vocals to blend in right with the mix.

I am using c4, waves deEsser, and ruby tube.

Should I maybe add some reverb to the growls? I tried some different verbs and they make the vocals muddy

I'm listening on shitty headphones now, but i would say cut some highs out of the guitars, and maybe give them a little cut at around 1.8k. I know there is no no bass, but the guitars need some more body, a slight boost around 230hz might help.
