Thread title says it all. I'm looking for a way to safely and completely backup iTunes and iPhoto content including Meta-data, locations, events, # of plays, face, etc. My approach would be to backup Music/iTunes and the Photos folder entirely and move them to the same location on a new(ly installed) machine in case of a system re-install/new system and if the Time Machine backup was broke but I don't really know if that is going to do the trick.

Anyone have any wisdom to share? :Spin:

Not sure man. I was pissed last night because I was trying to compile some video together and discovered that I lost some vids that I KNOW I had on my iPhone.

I usually just copy all pix/vid from the device and plop them in a folder on my HDD since my phone is only 8GB and gets full fast.

Thanks Bryan, but what I actually meant was iPhoto and iTunes on the computer (not on the phone). I use these to apps to manage all my pictures and music. Sorry if that was confusing.
