how to find a bassist. . .

OT of your request, but I dig having couches at shows.
Now back to you topic. I'm feeling ya, its hard to find decent bassists, let alone one who is good and doesn't have a questionable personality. Hence why I picked up playing bass the same time I started guitar and can play bass pretty above par, but that doesn't help me for shows.

Good luck though because your band sounds damn good. I always thought Brooklyn was a mecca for musicians.

Are you talking about couches backstage or actually in the venue? I can't recall being in a venue with couches, not a metal venue anyway....Now, backstage, that makes all the difference. The Pound SF (RIP) had some nice couches, I miss them!!

is te hellenas?

Find a guitar player that doesn't mind switching to bass. Haha.

It kills me when I see bands with two guitar players and no bassist. One of em should just suck it up and play bass. If your half way decent you can fill in the gap left by the exiting guitarist. I know some bands say, well we do dual guitar work and blah, blah, blah. So what, a lot of the time most people wouldn't even notice or know. So yeah....
