How's this guitar and bass sound? (death'n'roll)

Hi all,

My first post here, I think...

I recorded a few songs with my band project, which was at the time just me on guitar and vocals and a bass player (we've since found a drummer) so drums are programmed by me using DFH.

Anyway, we did not record any vocals or guitar leads on this, as we're still discussing the guitar and bass sound a lot, and wanted to see what works for this style AND in a mix.

So, here's a short song that's fairly typical of our style, which I suppose could be called fast death'n'roll:

To be honest, the guitars sound pretty bad =(. It's just a big mess of fizz and mud.

Well, they are eq'ed quite radically - kind of liked them at the time, but maybe it would pay off to go back and see what can be done with more restrained settings.
