Humanity

Ooooh look, 3 new members, all registered around the same time, all with only the one post and all within the same subforum about the same band.

Coincidence?

Oh, and if he does actually wear feathers i'll be slightly worried!!!

righty ho... this should take you there. www.humanity6.co.uk
they really are rather stonkin rock and/or roll ....I guess the south east metal scene isn't exactly imfamous to the rest of the world, particually 'the north'.

p.s how'd you become a 'member', and does it involve chicken blood?

CALLING ALL HUMANITY FANS EVERYWHERE! WE NEED YOUR HELP!
GREETINGS,

It is not often we ask you for favours, but we need you to help us for a bit.

Here's the lowdown: We are currently being considered for the Bloodstock Festival. For those that don't know, this festival is now in it's third year and is a full on metal bash. In order to bump up our profile, here's what we would like you to do:

1. Go to the Bloodstock website at www.bloodstock.uk.com

2. Go to the message board.

3. Write something along the lines of 'Humanity for Bloodstock!!!', or something like that. Seeing as the promoter reads the message board frequently, he will put us in higher consideration.

Thanks very much,

HUMANITY.

Cynical eh?!

does this band have any mp3s available?

Unfortunately not, it seems to word only spreads to people who buy the demos. But, cynics or not, Humanity would be a top quality choice to add to the Bloodstock bill, as well as any other gigs in the area... I've seen them a fair few times, and there's never been a bad gig.

I'd also like to recommend MULCH (www.mulch.org.uk) - it looks like the line-up needs a bit of ultra-heaviness to balance out the growing amount of widdly Euro-metal. I did hear words from a certain Nottingham-based druid that Kreator were considered, but I've heard nothing more on this one...

And I see there's been a post recommending Riff Master General - again, another top quality choice.

A lot of us like widdly Euro-metal! Last year Gamma Ray, Freedom call & Blind Guardian ruled the fest.

The year before it was Primal Fear.

I do agree that both Kreator and Riff Master General would be good for this year.

I'll check out mulch later and post my opinion

It just needs a bit more on the grrrrrrrg-death and Old Frash fronts to keep us grrrrg-death and Old Frash people happy, it seems to be heavily reliant on Euro-metal. We need at least one SDM band on there for a start...

Go for the latest demo "Drenched In Filth & Witchery", wihich should be what they've got on MP3.com - it's a lot closer to their bowel-battering live sound than the album that came before. The recommended track is "Spawn Of The Deadlands", preferably at maximum volume...

Really, Mulch need to be seen live to properly appreciate what they're capable of, and they're doing a mini-tour of the UK in mid-May or there abouts. I tried to get them to play in Nottingham but they couldn't make it...

I've followed metal since the 70's and it's not often that a band comes along and impresses me like Humanity. Steve is an outstanding guitarist and they have the benefit of a lineup with real stage presence, monster riffs and strong melodic lines. Reserve the cynicism until you've seen them in action.

Maybe if Humanity put some mp3 samples available (even just clips) on their site it would be a better thing as the forum regulars could check them out. And if they're as good as the 4 or 5 fans who've posted on here seem to think then they'd get more of a chance of getting a slot!
