Hi!, I have only posted here once or twice but I've read some of the threads from time to time. I apologize if someone has made a thread about this already-- I couldn't find it in the search or when I browsed back a couple pages. So here I go,
I have recently (over the past couple of years) gotten into collecting the music that I love (the bands I support). I'm a beginner, and I'm even more new to collecting vinyl; collecting limited editions and very limited pressings (hand-numbered), DVDS, and what I am going to get to, the vinyl. And since I am posting in a Hypocrisy forum..
I am looking for some input on what original, limited cd and vinyl editions you have, pricing, and even cool items/gear. (Most of this stuff I have gotten off of eBay).
1) Abducted LP black vinyl, original '96 pressing. In "excellent++" condition from some dude in Germany. Shipping is gonna cost me like 6 Euros. Started out at $15 =/ My 2 bids and 1 other dude's-- end price $26. (This was just today that I won it). Not sure though, I don't know prices very well.
2) The Final Chapter LP blue vinyl. Original Press. On eBay for $39.25. Mint. $4 shipping. I think I got a good deal on this-- I've seen this go for decent amount before. Not to mention Penetralia blue vinyl, and yellow Osculum Obscenum go for high amounts, too.
3) Hypocrisy self-titled LP 1st press '99. In near-mint condition for $24.50 =o
I actually had to msg him about the condition though. It wasn't listed as that like as, compared to what he said it was I messaged him) +$4 USD S&H.
4) Catch 22 "as strictly limited 180g vinyl". Basically got it just to have it because well, Hypocrisy owns. And yea, it's not too bad of an album (lol). $18.50+either $3 or $4 shipping -minus a discount cmdistro owed me from something before.
5) Penetralia '00 digipak remaster, golden disc, numbered to 2000 I believe it was - label: Metal Min2. Got on eBay for a pretty good deal-- $5.42 or something. Mint. (Also recently won Penetralia original '92 Nuclear Blast USA press. Mint, for like almost $7. Woot.)
6) Got the limited box edition of 10 Years of Chaos and Confusion. On ebay, forever ago. Seemed like a great deal for a little more than $6. He never correct condition, if it all-- told me it was excellent/near-mint before he sent it out. (Thought it was worth mentioning. lol) Also got the Virus CD/DVD limited edition that Shamateur was talking about in another thread. And also, the 2nd-rate cheap Mexican digi pressing on Scarecrow that someone else mentioned -.-
I think that's about it for now. I've got some normal jewel case releases, original press or pressed in America, an import or two as well. And I'm currently bidding on Penetralia LP blue vinyl, Osculum Obscenum yellow vinyl, and some other stuff.
I'd appreciate any input on prices, or even special editions, pressings etc etc. I have a general idea but it's nice to have some guidelines or to see someone's opinion who's been collecting for longer than you. I'm also interested to see what everyone else has-- great deals on rare stuff. Or to gaze in awe at your collection =DD. Anyways,
I refrained from listing just normal stuff cause I can go list that in thread that pertains to that (I was looking at some of the Hypocristy stuff that people have on here. Very nice.)
