I heard a rumor *cough* that Hypocrisy will be supporting Ensiferum sometime this coming fall/winter in North America. Blackguard & Ex Deo will be on the bill as well. WOOT WOOT

Why would they headline when Ensiferum is the more popular (notice I didnt say better) band?

I try to like them, but they are beyond geek, I mean fawk, every tune has an intro that sounds like an hymn to Dungeons and Dragons, in every breakdown I can hear someone throwing dices in the background and claiming his saving throw was successful...

On most of Death metal forums, most of the people know Hypocrisy as a ''band that was ok back in the days...Obsculum Obcenum was a good album...'' stuff like that.
Sorry but saying that in 2009 Hypocrisy is bigger than Ensiferum sounds kind of biased to me.
being absolutely inactive or almost for 4 years has its toll.
So even though it is musically stupid, geeky bands like gaysiferum become bigger and more seen than Hypocrisy. A shame, really

Agreed! But then again Peter has been constantly on tour with PAIN which of course has given the band a lot of exposure. That which hopefully would lead to new fans looking into any bands he has/is in at the moment! Then maybe they'll take a look at the many albums under the HYPOCRISY banner!

Ensiferum is alot more popular than Hypocrisy. this board is beyond dead and its official... Hell they barely even get mentioned on the general boards here .. and it's usually me recommending them to someone wanting more melodic death metal.
i just want to say something. I havent listend to Hypocrisy, i mean, really listen to them. For atleast 6 months now. Maybe a year? Just a song now and then. They still are my favourite band. But, i guess i dont want to get bored. Or something, i dont know. I listen to alot of other bands now. i explore. For example ive started to listen to Bathory. I fucking love them!

Ive never heard ensiferium.But i have alot of Hypocrisy cds, they are fucking legends of Metal i like all their releases from the early Death/Grind to the newer Melodic Metal.Cant wait to see em live some day.
i dont listen to them that much. Amon Amarth that is. Ive tried. Sure they've done some awsome songs. But theyre not that great really. Thyrfing is alot better than Amon Amarth, when it comes to Viking Metal.

Im kind of disapointed, I was hoping for Hypocrisy headlining (not much chance tho) or AT LEAST Hypocrisy as main supporting band for a GREAT band...not Geekyferum
