Oh I dunno, I can think of a few.

Just within the sub-genre of melodic rock/hard rock/AOR there have been a LOAD of great discs coming out lately and many more scheduled for the new year. Newman's re-recording/re-release of his first disc is gonna be a barn burner. That Revolution Saints disc is going to RULE! The new Ammunition disc is red hot. And that's just to name three.

Mind you, that's not to say the Eclipse disc isn't gonna be great. It's just that 2015 is going to be a strong year for melodic rock in general.

Love this band too, looking forward to the new album. I considered going to Melodic Rock Fest to see them, but they were the only band besides WET that I was interested in and they were playing on separate nights. Would be great to have them at PP!

I think it's safe to say that this will sound pretty much the same as the last two albums....I love this band, but they are not exactly adventurous in their songwriting. They have a winning formula and they stick to it.

You're totally right. I don't want "progression" from Eclipse. I just want catchy melodic hard rocking songs with heavy guitars. And that's what they gave me on the last couple ones and this is what I expect for the new one. Still, one can say that they progressed as songwriters with each album, each subsequent one becoming heavier and with better songs.
