I already know my 2015 number one.

ECLIPSE Set To Keep Momentum Rolling

Greece's Rockpages.gr did an exclusive interview with the frontman of ECLIPSE, Erik Martensson. Among other topics, Martensson talked about the future of the band and the possibility of releaing new material next year. Here's the excerpt:

Rockpages.gr: Compared to your usual 4-year gap between studio albums, this one took only 2 ½ years…was it an easier process, this time, for you?
Erik Martensson: We used to release albums not so often because I was doing so many other things and I didn’t have so much time. I did three albums with W.E.T. and all this work with other artists, we decided that we should focus on Eclipse. It’s now or never! We are not getting younger so the next album is not gonna be released in four years. I believe that we will start writing new songs during the winter.

The new drummer is in another band called Empress and they have a couple of singles out. It's much different than his new job. It's sort of modern sounding but with melody. Quite good but not really up to Eclipse standards. I want to hear that Runaways song but I'd like to hear a studio version of it. I dunno if I wanna fork out to buy the album again just for that bonus though. What they should've done is made a little 4 track EP or something with that track, a leftover from Armageddonize and maybe a couple of live or cover songs. Much better than making fans buy the whole album again for one song.

ECLIPSE Upgrade 'Armageddonize' to Deluxe Edition

"...The“Armageddonize (Deluxe Edition)” will be released on February 28th in Sweden, March 15th in the rest of Europe and April 18th in North America.

The new and expanded edition in 2CD glossy digipak (first pressing only) includes the song “Runaways”, which the band will exclusively perform for the first time during their Melodifestivalen appearance at the Gavlerinken Arena in Gävle, Sweden on the evening of February 27th. [The band and Frontiers strongly encourages all the fans to vote for the song in order to increase the possibilities for the band to pass to the final night in Stockholm on the 12th of March.].

Besides the new song “Runaways”, the album also includes a bonus CD featuring live songs, 2 rare cuts (originally b-sides of the “Bleed and Scream” single, only released via Sweden Rock Magazine) and 3 original, Japan-only bonus tracks...."

And the studio version finally. And guess what the song absolutely smokes. So damn catchy. Apparently it was written for Nordic Union but Erik held it back for Eurovision which they are unfortunately out of now which is a shame as the song rules badly. Their loss!
