I cant really comment since I dont own practice what you preach. But I do like souls in black, not better than the legacy but its still a good album.
 
Both albums are pretty equal to me, maybe Practice gets a slight edge, but not really.
 
Practice has a song called The Ballad, which just happens to contain some of the best guitar work Alex Skolnick ever recorded. That tone is stunning. Fucking humbucker city on his Ibanez.

There's a slight problem with Souls of Black. It's shit.
 
Practice was the first i ever heard from them back in '88 or '89 so needless to say i loved that album and to me is their best. Nothing they've done before or since has equalled Practice to me. *two thumbs up*
