I got some "record album" frames and neither of my KD records fits in them

I don't have a record collection so I just figured I'd buy frames for the KD records to store them, and they have great art for my bare walls (the split! soooo colourful! and dowsing is muted but excellent too)

I measured them and they were a shade over 12" on each side. when I went to Pearl Paint they were like "yeah here are the standard record album frames, 12x12". I was like "I don't know if they'll fit..." and they were like "all albums are 12x12". so I figured there was supposed to be a little space when you buy the frame or something.

neither fit! are these extralarge records? I could see the double LP not fitting due to thickness issues but the split doesn't even fit either. blah!

Wellll both are gatefold covers, that could be part of the problem. However, I think the standard size for those polystyrene LP bags are 12-3/4 x 12-3/4...

the LPs themselves are 12" in diameter, so naturally the sleeve is going to be a pinch larger.

I got 10 dollar frames at target and my "split" fits in there nicely...I need to get more though.

The only place I could find those record frames was at Urban Outfitters. The records fit fine in there, even having a few centimeters to move around. However, I actually have to bend the frame outward in order to get the hook to clip under the frame so I can hang it. Still looks fine, though so whatev.
