I gotta admit, Jesus was a pretty kickass dude.

There's nothing wrong with hippies, Tully. Sure, there are some annoying ones, but aren't there also plenty of annoying metal-heads? :)

Kids, let me tell you about another so-called "wicked" guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was... I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

Read Michael Baigent's "The Jesus Papers".

Constantine wasn't baptized a Christian until near death btw. Rome was largely pagan at his time (only 5-10% Christians), and he never broke with paganism. By making the day of Sol Invictus a holy day and a day of rest for the Christians (Sunday), Constantine tried to accommodate prevailing paganism with Christianity. It was all about power. As always.

...because we all know people didn't come to America to ESCAPE religious persecution.
...after getting basically kicked out for being a bunch of psycho fundamentalists that didn't allow buttons and dancing

and people wonder why this country is so puritanical when it comes to stuff like drinking and gay marriage...
