I just spent the last 1-1/2 hours playing four of their songs over and over and over. Their bass player can't play this Saturday night's gig, and they CAN NOT bail out of this show. The club owner told em, if they bail, they'll never play in that bar again. And the band that hooked em up with the show was gonna help them get more gigs around the Detroit area and let them break out of Flint. They cannot let this wreck their reputation, so I'll play a few of their songs, and then we'll fill the rest of the setlist with Maiden and MetallicA and Ozzy just to get through the show. Which I won't mind playing one bit!
I'm gonna let my fingers stop bleeding, and go watch them perform tonight at MoDoggie's, and study how their bassist does a few things with these songs. Then tomorrow I'll do a full practice with them to make sure I'm jellin like a felon stealing a melon for Magellan.
And then I'll try not to suck for them.
