Is Six Feet Under A Joke? Cuz i was listening to them the other day, and it seems like they go into the gore stuff too much, and their songs really suck. i saw the video, the day the dead walked and i was laughing the whole time.... well please tell me... cuz im goin to a concert and they are headlining, but black dahlia murder and dead to fall are the reason why im going, i just wanna know if they are a joke band...
 
Yeah he was okay with CC, but wtf man, wouldnt they realize they suck ass? should i be ready to start cracking up when they come on stage..

Cannibal Corpse=worst band ever. What do people see in that crap? At least bands like napalm death had a message, and they weren't exactly great either. CC is just overrated gorefest, grind, garbage.
 
Cannibal Corpse do suck and always will. But they sucked more with Barnes. Because he sucks more than Corpsegrinder. It's the lesser of two eveils, people. I wasn't defending CC by any means.

I probably haven't heard it. Frankly all their shit sounds the same to me. I've downloaded several songs people recommended and consistently hated every single one from that band. Granted, there's probably worse out there but that doesn't justify listening to this.

Since when was it a requirement that a band had to have a "message"? It's death metal bud, not fucking beatnik poetry.

Dude, if you know anything about writing music Cannibal Corpse are poetic genius'. Look behind the gore and see the song structure.

Also CC is great moshing music or a great band that makes you pumped and agressive =D

it makes me wonder if that same guy watches horror movies and thinks, "wheres the plot? character development?? LESS BLOOD pleeazzz!!! MORE drama and looove!!!"

Chris barnes sucked. George Fisher is a way better person for CC. Or else i'd hate them like Six Feet Under. Who's a fucking joke and i don't see why people would waste time or money to see them. They're garbage. And yes i've tried listening to them. They're trying to hard to be "Death metal", it's very poor.

Yeah i mean that's the reason CC has so many fans...people love moshing to it or just making them get up in the morning type of deal, a lot of music is meant to make you feel good, it doesn't need meaning. Besides emotional songs begin to suck or with meaning, you don't see metallica talking about their life and crap all the time, sometimes it makes a band better when they write about anything other then life sucks and i need to die or i hate my parents and my girlfriend left me i'll slit my wrist.

Are you insane? The structure is half of what bothers me. I'm a huge fan of bloodbath right now, and they have gore in the lyrics. It fits. I like entombed, mercyful fate, and even nile. But Cannibal Corpse are tasteless. It's brutal for the sake of being brutal and it's a joke. Their song structure?! If I handed a guitar with some distortion to a four year old with downs syndrome it would probably sound pretty similar.

If cannibal corpse were a horror movie it would be the equivelant of a low buget splatter film. I might sit through it once, but I'd have a problem if it garnered a cult following. Especially when there are so many better films in the same ilk.

Your acting like they did something revolutionary. Like the other guy who was defending them said-it's just death metal. Sometimes it's nice to hear lyrics that not only make you feel good but have some sort of story, coherent thought, or even just decent structure. Cannibal Corpse has none of these. Granted, it IS better then the poor me drivel found in nu-metal, but if your talking about ripping entrails out of a virgin cunt, and it's making you feel good, something MIGHT be wrong buddy. But like I said before, it's not just the lyrics. It's the fact that it sounds like a big fucking mess. I mean usually even a really crappy band sounds together on their studio recording. But not Cannibal Corpse!

Don't try to argue this any further, it's futile.
