Now I know this post is almost definitely going to do absolutely nothing but: if you guys (Symphony X) have the power of changing your headline show at the Middle East in Cambridge MA on 4/4 to all ages could you please do it? I'm going to be 17 and 343 days old on that day. I need to see you guys again after the incredible show last summer!

Yeah I know this post is futile but hey it's worth a try.

Oh and to the rest of the forum: if I go with my dad and "forget" my ID will I be able to get in you guys think? I don't know if it's worth doing because this involves a two hour boat ride and a two hour car ride.

No, I believe the officials at where ever the gig is being held have the power to remove the 18+ restriction. I know, it sucks, cause I couldn't go to the show in Detroit a few months back.

The band has no control over the venue's age policies, and they aren't the ones who choose the venues to begin with, the booking agent is..so they can't really help you, sorry.

I remember WAY back when I couldn't get into shows, and no bars/clubs even had all ages shows. Damn kids today are f'in SPOILED! :p
It made turning 18 that much more special (at least in WI, 21 in IL)

I also remember hanging outside the back of Haymakers to hear Michael Schenker play.... That must have been 80 or 81....:ill:

Hmm, yeah I figured this wasn't going to do much but hey, I needed to vent.

Do you think I could pull off "forgetting" my ID and being with my dad though?

The band can't help it... this happened to me a few years ago at the Pittsburgh show on the second Odyssey tour. They were really pissed that my friends and I couldn't get in because it was 21+, but they couldn't do anything about it.

I talked with a my friend's dad who happened to be a bouncer. If you sneak in or your found without ID, even if you "forgot" it, your fined $10,000 and so is the bar. They probably won't want you hanging around there anymore.
