I have to ask this cos it has been bugging me for aeons...

I was always going to call my covers band "Maiden Australia".

'cept I don't have a covers band, nor play an instrument...and my singing sux.

No idea. You'll have to ask Mr Ironcross that, cos he started it. He's off doing Downunder Clansmen, last I heard. He must have a thing for "Downunder".

Oh, and I've decided to start a Deep Purple covers band. Just need to find a capable bunch of musicians... thing is, I can't be bothered. Maybe I'll just wait for them to find me.

Both * communities * are pretty cool..

you guys are funnier and the other one is more obsessed with Maiden.

Just my 2 cents...

We just talk about Maiden when there's Maiden news. It's like the NRL Footy Show (dunno about the AFL one) - it's main focus is footy, but it's very rarely talked about. And we have our fair share of tools as well. :)

Mk 2/3/4 :)

I guess we could go with Steve Morse as well, but then we may as well include Joe Lynn Turner and the dudes from Mk 1. AND Don Airey. Strewth.

Haven't worked on the setlist yet. Dunno about gigs. Might have to actually all meet and get some practice.

Not something tacky like Deeper Purple.

Machine Head would be good... if it wasn't already taken.

I haven't heard JLT-era yet. I bought their first three albums at JB for $26.99 (box set thing), and got Fireball and Who Do We Think We Are at HMV for $15 a pop. God loves a bargain.
