i was bored and needed to waste some time so i decided to go to the local art-house theater and the movie showing was "the orphanage."

ok, given my current mindset with everything going on in my life...NOT A GOOD IDEA.

because as i should have learned from my previous experience with neuvo spanish fantasy/horror movies aka "pan's labyrinth," they may involve children but are still depressing and have depressing endings even if they put uplifting music in the score.

three cheers for fuckin spain...

ps. the movie, like "pan's labyrinth" was really awesome you guys, especially if you like ghost stories, just not the best movie to distract myself with.

I thought it was a pretty decent movie! Then again, I tend to like messed up depressing endings.

i finally saw the devil's backbone a few days ago. i didn't like it as much as i liked pan's labyrinth, but it's still a great movie. i need to see cronos.
