Got a virus alert from AVG when I went to your blog....seems that all this whoring has given you an STD. Seriously, though, Blackhole Exploit Kit alert popped up.

I think endorsement deals are great, when the artist has some kind of goodstanding reputation or credibility, or makes music that people like, with actual fans, or some kind of virtuosity that is respected, or if they play clinics or shows on the road. You know, people whose names are actually BENEFICIAL to associate wih the company.

same here. one second later my mail account was full of spam (3 times since then). coincidence?

Ill have to look into that my AV hasnt said Boo to me.

As for being beneficial, I play over 200 shows a year here in town, and have recorded 90% of the bands in this town. I can only think Brandon's point was said to be demeaning. If you really have no clue what your talking about you probably shouldn't. You know me as some schmuck from a forum, you have no idea what I do in my daily life or what kind of success or failures I have had other then what you see on an internet forum.

Jason you don't play 200 shows a year, your band doesn't even have 200 likes on Facebook. 200 shows a year is more than every other day. If that were true, I dont know how you're getting the time to record 90% of all music acts in Las Vegas, which I'm also pretty sure is impossible.

Somebody get this band some free amps, ASAP!

(I apologize to the rest of the forum but its so easy I can't help myself)

Can't really argue with this logic. Just stating that one is recording "90% of the bands" would indicate that there is a definite number of bands known and I think that kind of statistic is probably impossible to ascertain...

Brandon, I play 4 nights a week here in Vegas, and in addition that that I play Saturdays at a casino just outside of Las Vegas. There are 52 weeks in a year, and if you do the math its more then 200.....

As for time to record bands, 4 hours a night playing shows leaves plenty of time to record.... I dont see your logic here....

As for my band not having 200 likes on FB? Which of the 5 bands are you referring to? Or are you referring to the 2 shows that I play on the Las Vegas Strip? That until now you didn't even know about.

I am no longer in Outta The Black, Bluff Control is sitting near 300, So I am unsure of who you are referring to cause the other 3 bands I rarely talk about as they always have a revolving cast of who's playing in them because they are shows on the strip. Hell "the bands" arent even ON Facebook. I didn't know the number of likes on Facebook directly equates to the number of gigs I do a year.

Gotta love it when an amateur try's to shit on a pro for what he does. Obviously I'm doing something right.....

Jealousy ...the sincerest form of flattery :)

Oh wait Brandon I guess I should give you the breakdown .......

Mondays & Wednesdays I play in a show at the Mirage 6pm to 11pm
Thursdays & Sundays I play in a show at Planet Hollywood 8pm till Midnight
Fridays I do sound for a friends band (this sometimes get cancelled for a BC show) 9pm to 1am
Saturday nights I am at a casino outside of Nevada 9pm to 1am

So where does that not leave time to record? Lets see on average I am at the studio by 7am, I leave about 6pm Mon & Wed, 7pm on Thurs, and 9pm on Fri, Sat .....

Damn that's still over 40 hours a week in the studio..... hmmmm

Oh Brandon did you know I work for a guitar magazine doing reviews as well and giving lessons? Not until now you didnt ......

Whos the schmuck now.

I def wouldn't call Brandon a amateur in the least bit. I don't think to many of the guy's on this forum could hack filling in for Arsis and do the job perfect. While taking personal cracks at you is kinda lame your both killer players. But Brandon is def on a pro level as far as i am concerned. He just really doesn't talk about all the things he has done.
