Make sure to thank James. I think he's more in need of groupies... ;)

Speaking of which, it was really funny the other day. We were outside with our lecturer, having a smoking break and we saw the lead singer of Spiderbait pull up into Metropolis studios (accross the road from our academy) with a whole LEGION of groupies/hang-ons. The lecturer then proceeded to laugh and tell us that the best thing we, as future engineers, can do is avoid that whole thing. Apparently he has a heap of engineer friends who hang onto bands and hope to get work, but all that happens is they get used as chauffers.

well, i've been in the UK and Sweden, back and forth since a few days after that ;).... anyway, one has to be on tour generally to get many groupies sniffing around. besides, i don't there's really all that many "groupies" around our type of music anymore... but that my friends is as deep as i care to go into my sordid past... or my sordid present for that matter.:muahaha:

Im sure you can probably tell the same sort of stories that the rest of us who and toured or working in rock and roll can, whether its as a tech or a musician there are only so many ways the same things can keep occuring..... or are there...
