and the only real complaints i saw of it were that it was too short and only takes about 10 hours to play. but yet i find that attractive for some reason because i honestly do not enjoy games that i have to invest aeons of time in.

Same here. I've never really understood why length is so often mentioned as the most important criteria for determining a game's overall quality.

Difficulty, too. As in if a game's too easy to finish, it must suck. Sorry but when a game starts feeling like homework, fuck it.

Lament of Innocense is good, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't hold a candle to Symphony of the Night.

2D Castlevania > 3D Castlevania
Were it possible to agree more than 100% to any statement, this would be the one.

I haven't spent much time playing Lament of Innocense, but I do like it.

As long as the story has intensity and is interesting throughout, the length shouldn't matter at all. Silent Hill 3 took me 6 hours to beat, but it was much more fulfilling than most 40+ RPGs I've played lately.

simphony of the night is one of the best games ever... lament of innocence is a good start in the 3d world of castlevania (not counting the horrible nintendo 64 ones)

by the way, in case you dont know check this web, it's fucking amazing (it seems it doesnt work now, but i supose it will in some minutes/hours)

Who do you think you are to denigrate my adventures and my lineage's adventures? I am a hero, and as such I require respect, on any platform.

I though Schneider was utterly badass, the appearance by Van Helsing was appropriate and appreciated, and gameplay for a platformer was pretty responsive, though occasionally fixed camera angles made jumps difficult. I thought it was a hell of a lot of fun.
