I have continued to call ARC as I am a permanently deferred donor because I lived in Europe during Mad Cow Disease timeframe.

It would seem to me that after 12 years of being back there should be some screening test to determine hat I am not a carrier.

I obviously don't have it actively or I would be dead.

I was working on my third gallon of don't. I am A negative.

Thanks for letting me vent but it really annoys me!!

Creutzfeld-Jacobsen's can come on a lot slower than 12 years, sometimes up to 30, just depends how much of the prion you were exposed to.

she really is kind of spongebrained. she is in her fifties but keeps using expressions like "way cool" and that most peculiar of ohio expressions, "cool beans."

I had never heard anyone say it until I moved here but they tell me it is also used in michigan.
and its usually said in an emphatic way, with no pause between words, as in "cool beans!!!!!!!!!" or its mutant cousin, "cool beanie weanies."

I mean, I know the term "cool" came from the old black jazz dudes but wtg is up with the beans?
