I just have to say. JETHRO TULL!!

I agree! Ian Anderson is a genius.
Tull is so far above 99.9% of other rock music.
Great lyrics, great songs & immaculate musicianship.

Long live Tull!!!

I don't mind old guys:) but I absolutely totally detest Jethro Tull, they actually make me feel physically :Puke: And also other bands that I despise are Yes, Genesis and The Who and I might as well stick Bon Jobi in there as well:heh:

Didn't Jethro Tull win the "Hard Rock" grammy the year Metallica brought out the Black album?????

Now I like a bit of "folk rock" (The Levellers) but hey Jethro Tull HARD ROCK ?? I think Jethro the comedian is harder.

Close, but Tull stole that Grammy in 1988 after Metallica released ...And Justice for All. They (Metallica) had performed "One" at the Grammy's earlier that night.

That is even worse then, as personally I really love the Justice album :kickass:

Oh, I totally agree! I think (and maybe I just imagine this) that they even had a split screen when they opened the envelope... one side was the presenter, the other was Metallica, tired and sweaty from just having played their hearts out on stage.

As far as Metallica albums, Puppets is by far my favorite, followed by Kill 'Em All, Lightning, Justice, then I kind of lump the rest in my "forget about it" pile. I was never a big fan of their stuff post-Justice... not even the "black album". Way too polished and commercial for Metallica, I thought.
