Spending my time....

d62597r61e8.jpg

Deep, sentimental, musically diverse, soft poppy, melodic, beatles-like, beautiful! One of the best albums ever, criminally underrated.

trollheimsgrott_bloodsoakedandillfated_b.jpg

(Trollheim's Grott - Bloodsoaked & Ill-fated)

Innovative, groovy but grindy, twisted, modern. Black/darkmetal with industrial vibes.

f38732qnix6.jpg

Lowtune-metal groover, melodic, kickass, slightly dark, *compared to this maiden is totally gay*.

e151343xuox.jpg

(Bohren & Der Club of Gore - Sunset Mission)

Jazz, dark, twinpeaksy, soft, haunting, pressing, darkly beatiful.

e367753223h.jpg

Laid-back, relaxed, melancolic, triphoppy, music for afterhours driving.
Oh, a new album, Graveyard Mountain Home out Nov 9th! Gottagetit.

This is gay. And this is the list at the moment. Tomorrow it changes.

Warloghe_First.jpg

(Warloghe "The First Possession")
Best "new" boersk blekk metle. Pure Darkthrone-worship. Godly. Satanly.

cover1476_22071.jpg

(Current 93 "Soft Black Stars")
Simply beautiful. No more words are necessary.

allerseelensturmlieder.jpg

(Allerseelen "Sturmlieder")
Alle Lust will Ewigkeit!

CMIX-160.jpg

(Blood Axis "Blot: Sacrifice in Sweden")
Antimusic. Only live album worth of anything, ever.

ISNsacro01.jpg

(In Slaughter Natives "Sacrosancts Bleed")
Hellish industrial. Devastating.

SkepticismStormcrowfleet250.jpg

(Skepticism "Stormcrowfleet")
Singlehandedly defines the meaning of funeral doom.

turbund.jpg

(Turbund Sturmwerk "S/t")
Ei ole myrskyvärkin voittanutta.

Suck my hairy balls.

Five most recently listened to albums:

musikforgottentombcd.jpg

Forgotten Tomb - Springtime Depression. My most listened to album in the past week or two. Absolutely hopeless, depressing, suicidal, and it "rocks" too.

mydyingbridetheangelandthed.jpg

My Dying Bride - The Angel and the Dark River. The best doom album I've ever heard. Good to play along to because it doesn't require much concentration, and to sing along to because there are no growls or high notes.

Vare.jpg

Tenhi - Väre. Damn good melancholic folky stuff. Good to hum along to, since I can hardly remember any lyrics.

d170189a36w.jpg

Dark Tranquillity - The Mind's I. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. New moments keep jumping out at me, making me wonder why the hell I never noticed them beforehand.

norah.jpg

Norah Jones - Come Away With Me. Mellow, relaxing, and she has one of the best voices ever.

wööh I though I was the only one alive who had heard Forgotten Tomb. I like them, but their image/style gets a bit exaggerated sometimes... just saying!

Is that Songs to Leave or Springtime Depression? Anyway their latest one, whatever it's called, is disappointing, the first two are much better.

Hmm. I'm just listening to Love's Burial Ground. Sounds ok, which is a lot said from me as I've yet to find a good album from this millenium. (I know, I'm a cynical and autistic bastard.)

@Rusty: What's it that's so disappointing in this comparing to the other albums?

For me, there are no really memorable momentson Love's Burial Ground, and it drags on unnecessarily. The only really good parts I noted were the intro, outro, and interlude (the Malus Vivendi parts). Each and every time I've listened to it, by the time it's hit tracks 6 or 7 I've been impatient for it to finish so I can put something else on, which can't be a good thing. Having said that, it's not a bad album as such, but comparing it to how much I enjoy Songs to Leave and Springtime Depression, it hasn't got a lot to say for itself. Of course, I'll give it another go in a couple of weeks or so.

Madame Z, you'd better go ahead and order it anyway, now's really not the time to start paying attention to me.

Horza, not liking anything from this millenium isn't cynical and autistic, it's just plain silly. Stop it. Also, stop having a username that keeps getting itself typed as Horxa all the time.

If a tree falls over in a forest, and there are no doors or windows in the room, how long is a piece of string?

Okay, okay. The only albums worth mentioning that have been released this millenium:

Allerseelen: Abenteuerliches Herz
Anaal Nathrakh: The Codex Necro
Current 93: Sleep Has His House
Fire+Ice: Birdking
Gerard / Ars Nova: Keyboards Triangle
Seigneur Voland: S/t
Warloghe: Womb of Pestilence
When: The Lobster Boys & Pearl-Harvest
Xasthur / Acid Enema: Split

And then there was some Finnish band of drunken wankers playing some obscure lesbian funk, singing about moomins with no butthole. Can't remember the name, though.

I heard about that album. By Skepticism, right?
