Hi guys

Just wanted to share that I went with my roommates for a hike in Northern California on Yosemite's Half Dome. Made it to the top (8000 feet above ground). The last 900 feet were strenuous. It was a vertical climb done with cables and planks. We had decided to raise our country's flag when we get to the top and it was a major inspiration for me to make it there!

I will make a flag with Iron Maiden logo too, and take it to an even higher top! This was the only Indian flag I had with me at this time. \m/

Some pictures if anyone is interested. All other pictures are in my myspace albums :

:worship: WOW!! Now that is something I would LOVE to do!!!! Calgon, take me away!!!! How long a hike in and up did that take?

It took 12 hours round trip. :loco::loco:

Totally worth it! You should definitely think about doing one of these if you're physically and mentally up for it! :)

Griffith park is a good warm-up hike. Less than 3 miles round trip. You've be up and back down in 3 hours. This one was 16.4 miles :OMG:

:zombie: Woah, better start training now!!

Haha your country is Megadeath! You should email the band that picture. They may add it to their website.

Looking at those pics makes me think, "what the fuck am I doing in LA?"
Concrete, traffic, crappy air, wannabe actors, silicone boobs galore, rude waiters, rude bartenders, traffic, strip malls, I'm too cool for you hipsters, those 40 year olds stil on sunset strip stil hoping to make it claiming they played on this album or that album but of course, mysteriously didn't get credited, crap public transportation, did I mention traffic?

Oh well. I got a great girlfriend and I go to lots of concerts though. But damn that scenery!! You can like taste the mountain air!

I think this covers why you are in LA. "silicone boobs galore" say no more, say no more.

Lets face it, if you lived in the UK those fake or even real appendages would be covered in several layers of survival style clothing to protect them from the cold. Its that cold here even Linda could play an entire set with a survival suit on!

other than the wannabe actors and geriatrics claiming to be musicians its no different from any town or city anywhere in the world.

The thing that's bugging me about the weather just now is that it's not cold and constantly raining. It's like living in the bloody tropics!!! You have to wear a jacket cos it's raining but then you get all hot and sweaty cos you've got a jacket on. You can't win!!! I am so sick of rain just now. I don't remember it being this wet during the summer ever!!!!

wow that weather sucks! I've had enough of that in India! Loving California now! :D

Cool pics man. When I was a kid I hiked that. Some day I'd like to do it again. I always thought it'd be cool to camp out up there and watch the sunset, then in the morning watch it rise. It's a very cool hike. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Hiking up the side of two waterfalls, then half dome was so cool and then making summit and poking my head over the face and looking straight down. Ohh, that got the pucker going! That hike was the only time I ever saw a triple rainbow, it was when I was approaching the first waterfall. Wish I had had a camera for that. It's a long hike for sure, but would definitely recommend it to anybody.

One of my buddies is on his way to Yosemite right now. I've been bugging him to do the Half Dome hike, but he's got other things planned.........Still, I'd love to do that one some day. Great photos!

I didn't realize Megadeth was actually a country! Who knew?! I think that makes you a Megadethian.

Seriously, dude, that is so awesome! Congratulations! Great pics! Many years ago I hiked in Yosemite but never did Half Dome. It was absolutely gorgeous. Would love to go back.
