NYC was awesome. I saw Clem Snide at the Bowery on Saturday night and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to (with, um, Gary Olsen and Maplewood, I think?). I also rode the Staten Island Ferry for the first time. And the Chinatown-to-Chinatown bus was only $40 round-trip, and the Chinese fighting movies were actually dubbed in English on the way back. I read five back issues of the New Yorker and slept. It was lovely!
