i also just donated blood this weekend.

or rather i tried donating blood except for the fact that i forgot that you were supposed to eat before donating and i hadn't eaten in 12 hours and pretty much passed out on the bed i was lying on.

the doctors told me i had fucked up and apparently were only able to get like 1/4 of a pint which most likely would only be used for "research."

man, they're supposed to ask you before they try to take your blood if you've eaten. they had free cookies, brownies, pretzels, raisins, and drinks for us. also: they were playing bad movies on tape like some movie with richard dreyfus and burt reynolds as old wise guys or something.

As a follow up to this thread, the RI Blood Center left me a message yesterday asking if i felt ok since they knew i got all messed up on saturday.

i thought that was rather nice of them.

i bet it's a vampire working part time at the blood bank, trying to locate potential victims with clean blood. sort of like when i used to make cold calls when i interned for merrill lynch, helping a broker look for new clients/blood.
