i went to A(nime)-Kon(vention) today
at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Dallas (just across the street/under over-pass away from the club i go to called "The Church") just now got back to irving
while there i saw cos-players dressed as
Captain America (bony guy with thickly padded costume)
Spiderman (weird red/blue alternate costume from "the clone saga")
The Ghostbusters (with full back-pack gear with glowing lights)
Mario and Luigi (as a set)
at least a dozen people dressed as charachters from a show called "bleach" which got confusing because i've never seen "bleach")
i counted at least 8 different guys dressed as Naruto (in addition to lots of other people dressed as other characters from the "Naruto" show)
lots of people dressed as characters from "resident evil" and the "final fantasy" series (just made a final fantasy 13)
a single guy dressed as Goku from dragon Ball Z with his freind dressed as Piccolo (Piccolo was shirtless with every millimeter above waist band of pants covered in green body paint)
Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn (Pluto came way way earlier than Saturn even though they came as a set) the other women that dress as sailor scouts glom together in "Anime Fest"
several really hardcore "furrys" (animal noises got creepy)
lots of people in lamely made cat "furry" costumes because they were too lazy/broke to make/buy good costumes
Batman and Robin (as a set)
4 people dressed as Zelda characters (came as a set)
2 suicide girls promoting their apearance at lizard lounge starting at 9 PM (they were supposed to shoot marshmellows from a gun into people's mouths but their aim really really sucked, they kept hitting people in the eyes/below the neck)
a seemingly freakishly huge praportion of the people at A-Kon were blue-eyed blondes (with scary huge number of Celtic-pales that were so pale the appeared to be albino)
lots and lots of butterfly/bat/angel wings (even lots of males)
lots of shirtless males
