Had money on the Scottish Grandnational at Ayr. A 66/1 shot came in and I had a £25 stake. Had money on Man U drawing at Ewood too, and the odds were pretty high. I think I'm about £1900 up for the day between Horses and Football. Calzaghe fight is later too, and if that pulls off I'm £2200 up!

Obviously what you've got to do now that you're somewhat wealthier is build an effigy of yourself from some unusual material. There's a statue of Michael Jackson made of marzipan, for example.

Do I then eat myself? I'm not sure how philosophically sound such an activity is.

I'd rather spend it on whisky and whores, to be honest.

Point taken. The only question then, is the whisky to whore ratio. If you buy a lot of booze, then the cheaper, uglier whores will be palatable, but if you don't buy a lot of booze, you'll have to settle for more expensive whores.

Edinburgh is a wonderful place for attractive yet surprisingly inexpensive Eastern European whores. It's also wonderful for quality whisky at low prices.
