This ones kind of Maiden related, Jon talks about the offer to sign with Sanctuary, Rod wanted artistic control of the band before he would sign them... Its pretty long, but about the best interview ive ever read with Jon so I figured id post it as its very interesting

That was a really good read actually! Damn I am interested in this Gettysburg DVD, it sounds really interesting! Can't wait to hear the album, either.

And no matter how many times I read it in interviews with Jon, I still can't believe he is unsatisfied with 'Burnt Offerings'. It is their best album for god sake!

Thinking about that article again and what Jon said about how he always tried to get more out of Matt creatively, and tried to motivate him, reminds me alot of what Steve Harris had to say about Blaze after Bruce rejoined Maiden, about how he tried to push him to do more etc. Interesting. Maybe Matt will go and form his own band called 'Barlow', and it will blow Iced Earth away.

heheh. Gettysberg is pretty cool, but some of the other songs sound pretty ordinary.
