Iced Earth

Barlow-era fan too. Except Horror Show, didn't really like that one other than the first two tracks. I usually just stick to the Alive in Athens 3CD. Most of the best songs, with Matt, and awesome quality.

The Horror Show album is my favorite, and the Maiden cover owns. My favorite song on their has to be either Dracula or Wolf. But for me the thing that really made that album great was Richard Christy's drumming, I mean it was just amazing.

I think Jon Schaffer's guitar work is better in Iced Earth than it is in Demons & Wizards as well.

No. And I know it´s a cover. But sometimes Covers are better than the originals (Knocking on heaven´s door comes to minf)
Not this one though. It's not a random cover off a pop song, it's a cover of an IRON MAIDEN song. A very good one, btw.

I was actaully dissapointed when I heard Richard Christy in Iced Earth... After hearing him on Death's S.O.P I had much higer expectations from him in Iced Earth... If ya liked his work on Horror show and you ain't familiar with Death's, The Sound Of Perseverance..I seriously suggest you check it, much better representation of Christy's skill.

and ya...there are a few Iced Earth songs I really like... The Coming Curse is probably my fav. Other then that sometimes I can listen to Iced Earth and enjoy it, and sometomes it just bores me to death. Really one of those bands I have to be in the mood to listen to if I'm going to enjoy it.
