both the audix i5 and ..well i assume if you got one of those your gonna have a 57, and if you got time just with exactly the same setting and set up..record like a snare hit of both, same eq's and all..just so i could hear the difference..unfortunatly i can find any other way of testing..and this seems like a sound solution. would be much apreciated

I have exactly what you are after. I recorded a snare with both the i5 and the 57 for purposes of sampling during a session a few months back, if I have time I'll dig out the hdd they are on and post clips.
