got bored super late last night, since i was sick or something (i slept the entire weekend). wrote something to mix with. gotta throw more leads in there, and i got to record the rest of what i came with with after work today. is this mix better than my last? i'd say so, but then again my ears could be fooling me!

sounds cool man. Snare sounds a little over comp'd and has a bit too much attack but that's just down to taste I guess. Really like the composition too dude!

hey thanks man! yes, the snare is comped to death, DIE SNARE, you FUCKER!...lulz. i like the more stab-you-in-the-ear snares, could be a bit much though. what ya'll think of the guitar tones? would you guys say its fairly balanced overall? or am i dreaming? ROFL.

Guitars are all podxt, hp and lp, and tape sim. Yes, I love the metal foundry. I did have to replace the kick though. As with all toontrack products.

i used Ozone, actually. the harmonic exiter: use the tape mode, and just ONE band (wide open!). and just turn the thing just to .1dbz-.3dbz of "exitement!", or whatever. anymore is useless and just mucks things up, and if you really don't think that is enough, re-record the guits with a different tone/patch! just turning it on makes a difference. ozone has many great uses, other than just ghettomastering!

Thanks cococo! The song is almost done, and I've tweaked the mix, the guitars and bass are fuller, and I tweaked the cymbals too. I'll upload it probably tomorrow.
