Alright,

Way back a LOONG time ago when MTV was first born- back when it actually played music and it was only at 3 am did it have something other than music on.

I had always loved Michael Jackson. I used to see pictures of him in the newspaper when he had the eyeliner, long hair and was always in leather. This was the pre- horrible plastic surgery days.

When we got cable during MTV's infancy, bands like Ratt, Poison, Twisted Sister, Bon Jovi etc were on all the time.

It was a natural progression to go from a man with long hair with eyeliner in leather to other men with long hair with eyeliner in leather. Granted at that time the Glam Metal wasn't "true" metal, but it did start me on the right path.

So thanks to Michael Jackson I'm now a metal lover, who happens to have a soft spot for The King of Pop.
