if you ain't suicidal, you ain't shit!!!

I'm only just now starting to get back into them. I had their very first album, which I always liked for the humor value, but never really took them seriously. A few months ago, I picked up Prime Cuts and realized just how much I've been missing out!

Don't really remember what album, but my fav song is "You Can't Bring Me Down"...that song kicks ass playing on guitar....

I've never stopped being a fan of this band. I haven't missed an album. I've seen them everytime they've toured Australia. They've never let me down. NEVER. Best album? LIGHTS, CAMERA REVOLUTION And FREEDUMB. Their always on constant rotation. All their albums are great value.

Pledge your allegiance....ST!

I was actually heavily in to Suicidal Tendencies back in the day. My favorite record is, of course, the first one s/t which I have on vinyl featuring the infamous, "I saw your mommy..." I was a skateboarding fool from about 86 until 93. Somehow once I got a drivers' license, skating was never the same. But I digress....also loved JOIN THE ARMY and HOW WILL I LAUGH TOMORROW as well as LIGHTS CAMERA REVOLUTION but I never picked up another album past that. Great band, though. For me and for nostalgic reasons, the first was the best.
I played the crap outta that one and I SAW YOUR MOMMY was actually the first real song I learned to play on bass....and it got me inspiered to learn more...
Possessed to Skate

Like Union9 I've never gotten out of ST. What a class act they were - they are one of the few bands of the ilk and era who do not sound dated now - How will I laugh tomorrow? was is in my car's CD at the moment, and it sounds brilliant.

How will I laugh tomorrow has to be a highlight of their career, but join the army, the feel like shit/controlled by hatred "double A" and Lights... Camera are also up there

They're a bloody brilliant band who I'll alway love - they never quite made it, but were IMO one of the best thrash bands about.

I only have "How Will I laugh tomorrow ...", and I found it quite good at that time, but haven´t listened to it for years. If I get my record player working again that will certainly be one of the first choices ... Oh boy, I have hundreds of great old LPs I haven´t listened to for years ... think I really got to get a new record player.
Cheers

No, you need to send all your old vinyl to me. I already have a record player, so it works out great! :D

Kick ass. Good posts. Thanks for the props, JonnyD.

I never really got into them back in the day. I never really got into metal back then, to be honest. I've only got two albums so far, but I'll be getting them all unless, of course, I die soon. I've got Join the Army and Lights, Camera, Revolution. I love them both. I think that Join the Army has better riffs and Lights, Camera, Revolution has better lyrics and basslines. They both work very well at getting me fired-up.

They're so in your face, raw and honest. Nothing pretty about 'em. No appologies no fancy talkin'...I love it.

You Can't Bring Me Down is such a great song to play really loud with your windows down at a stoplight. It's on Lights, Camera, Revolution, btw.

Cyco Miko kicks ass.

What do people think of the new Suicidal? I mean, from Freedumb onwards. When I first heard Freedumb, I thought it was pretty much the closest we'll hear Suicidal at their roots. They pulled it off but retaining a sound that was modern. Now, with Suicidal pretty much 'Infectious Tendencies'. With both bands, (Infectious Grooves & Suicidal) spliced together, their sound has again taken on another transformation. What are peoples thoughts on the new mellenium Suicidals? They maybe more Infectious than Suicidal these days (Not that I'm complaining. I love Infectious Grooves) but they can still pen a brutal tune. 'Animal', 'Hippy Killer'. Theirs no arguing that I'd like more brutal tracks from them but I am content with what I'm getting.

P.S. Does anyone know what Rocky is doing now?

I like the new sound very much. I've been a funk fan longer than a metal fan and it makes me sick to see so many bands do so poorly at mixing the two. Then, I find an Infectious Grooves cd and I'm fully refreshed. At least someone's doin' it right!

I would have loved to see them in '90. Hell, I was 14.... It could have changed my life.
