If you live in the US, have Comcast, and like Skolnick/Testament

You owe it to yourself to watch Scholnick's latest tutorial. 26 minutes of him breaking down the solos to Practice What You Preach and More Than Meets the Eye. Unlike every other bonehead on Comcast's lessons (almost), he actually describes the modes he's using, what the influences are (from SRV to DiMeola) and notes that shouldn't fit but do (and why).

That is all.

p.s. I'm drunk

My On Demand doesn't have that stuff anymore. There used to be a Guitar World section with lessons and new gear info. All gone. Rip off bastards.

they suck. they told me the rate went up and there was nothing they could do, but when my wife called, they were like "oh sure, we'll bring it back down for you." 'round here, it's them or AT&T, which I hear isn't much better for cable/internet. just in case though, if you have On Demand with the free movies and shit, it might be in your "music" section under "lessons."

They do suck. Direct TV may be the way to go, not sure.
There is no "lessons" in the music section for mine. It used to be "music" > "guitar world" > "lessons" iirc.
Just something else to piss me off.

someone record this shit and POAST IT!!!

I'm going to do a camcorder on a tripod just so I can have it on hand, hopefully this weekend. I'll try and upload it to youtube or rapidshare or something and post the link.

this also appears to be it, but I don't know what the fuck Joost is. anyone ever use it? I hate downloading programs just to watch a fuckin' video.

looks like it was also on the CD rom that came with the July 2008 issue of guitar world.
