ILIUM to release second album

Australian melodic metal band Ilium's second album "Permian Dusk" is due for a September/October release through Adrenaline/Steelheart records and will feature Dungeon's Lord Tim on vocals.

The tracklisting is as follows:

Update from the band:

Hello

Well, the time is drawing near - we should have an actual release date for our
second album "Permian Dusk" soon. We will hopefully be doing one or two film
clips for this one, probably for the songs "Chloroform Divinity" and "Permian
Dusk" and maybe some live dates. Who knows?! The shock death of Voivod
guitarist Denis "piggy" D'Amour has also left me greatly saddened. I remember
buying "Dimension Hatross" many moons ago and thinking what a refreshingly
original band Voivod was (and this was about the time Piggy had a world first
operation for a brain tumour I think). We've lost too many heroes lately. Our
thoughts are with the family and friends of Piggy and of course the victims of
the hurricane in the US. Also, we have some new wallpaper in the form of "All
Control Lost" on our site. And on top of that we should enter the studio soon
with Dungeon drummer Tim Yatras to recor drums for "Vespertilion"

another update:

Hello all

Firstly the new Ilium album artwork is done and approved and we should have the
master ready for the final nod any time. We also have some old Oracle and Iliad
photos posted on our website so you can see former members like Mark, Jos,
Michael, Kris and Sean in all their glory

The next news is that sadly Lord Tim's main project for many a year, Dungeon
will be calling it a day. They will be playing 3 final shows in Sydney,
Melbourne and Brisbane and will release one last album, but fear not, Tim and
Tim will be featuring in Lord, and after Tim re-releases the first Lord album
and records the second the group will return with that familiar Dungeon style.
And of course they're still with Ilium!

Hello all

Well, the moment we all thought would never come! Permian Dusk is to be released Nov 25 2005. According to our label the packaging is 'awesome'. This surprises me not.

In other news Ilium are again looking for a bass player and keyboardist. As you are aware Corey was involved in a train accident a few weeks back and whilst his recovery is going great, Pete and Corey will be spending time with the ongoing treatment and Corey's solo career, so at this stage they do not have time for Ilium.
