I'm considering moving to Germany

I'm a musician living in the United States, and I'm having a very hard time getting any success with my band here. We are called The Whisky Rebellion. I'm the drummer. You can check us out here http://www.facebook.com/#!/thewhiskyrebellion, and here http://www.whisky-rebellion.com/. We have samples of songs uploaded there.

The music you hear was all recorded by Johnny, including the drums, using a machine. It's not my drumming, but the songs are good and I helped to write some of the riffs.

What is the metal scene like in Germany? How much luck would I have finding a new band to play with over there?

I also play piano, sing, and play guitar. I cover many songs by Manowar, Judas Priest, and others. They are my two favorite bands. I also listen to dozens of other 80's metal bands, because they're my favorites. I try to play open mic nights around here doing these covers but it's not working out. I don't have the right crowds.

My dream is to play drums for a kickass band in the style of thrash/power. Would I have a better chance if I moved to Europe? As of right now this place sucks all around. There's barely any type of the crowd that I like to be around.

I was in Germany in 2008 to see Manowar at the Magic Circle Festival. It was a dream come true. It was exactly the scene I wanted to be a part of. I had my guitar with me and I was playing Manowar music and many other metal cover songs, and the response I got was tremendous. I wish to gain success doing this because I love it, but it's not at all the same here in the U.S.

So should I seriously consider moving to Germany?
