The last time I tried listening to Big Big Train I found them to be too butt-prodding neo-prog, so I gave up quickly into it.

to me they are like old neal morse era spock's beard with modern influences like oceansize and some post-rock, plus some really cool experimentation with saxophones and what not.

I usually dislike 90 percent of neo-prog, but found these guys quite refreshing. like kool aid almost.

But I saw them live once and it was a blast due to the crazy japfro keyboard player.

Although now that I'm googling for pics of him, his hair is not nearly as crazy as I remembered... *tear* Maybe I was just that lucky.
