I'm suprised no one has mentioned this yet..

COOL! What a FINE, fine producer he is....that would be cool, and maybe give them a harder edge than the last albummmmmaybe have Sneap do the heavy one and Wilson do the soft one?

The only thing that could have made Brave New World better is if Janick Gers hadn't been on it.

Steve Harris is the person to blame for Iron Maiden... not anyone else, ever. :)

Although the decision to use Shirley... god... I want to go up to them and take their legend away for pissing away the big comeback album like that.

two different producers for two halves of the same album would be a big mistake. they wouldn't be cohesive

I hope these new albums are completely confusing and weird and completely rip the lid off of what "Opeth" is supposed to mean. Don't want to see my favorite band become complacent, but they were very close to that on Blackwater Park...

It's not that I hate brave new world, it's just nowhere near as good as classic maiden. Janick Gers needs to go. And it is probably all Steve Harris' fault!

Andy sneap has produced some of the best sounding albums lately, just look what he did for arch enemy :)

Could be a good thing, but I'm not sure the andy sneap type of sound will suit opeth unless they are planning to go very heavy al of a sudden?

Brave New World is alright. It beats X Factor and Virtual 11. BNW has some good songs. But yeah it's nothing compared to the old classics. Hopefully the new album will have a more powerful triple guitar assault. I can imagine maiden really doing a lot more with the 3 guitars than what was done on bnw.
