Imagine if...

O well I have long hair and use black clothes time to time... And also I use some chains sometimes on my pants, but that doesn't make anyone a satanist. There was one at my confirmation group, thou the teachers there didnt tell him anything bout to stop being satanist or so, he didnt tell that stuff to the teachers... But he wore pants with spikes had long black hair etc. And he STILL did the confirmation. Hes a good dude though and I got him added on MSN. But yeah, he listens to black metal lot and admits being a satanist... But just that what I dont understand why did he join the christian church then? Haven't asked him bout this, just been thinking...

Ive heard of one guy that got thrown out of church for wearing nirvana shirt....

Oh gawd.. and finland has high education standards? PFFFFFFT

This is completely random and off-topic but.

There was a guy in a Taake shirt at the Dream Theater + Symphony X gig I was at on Saturday  I was like LOLWUT

Yeah, but someone who claims to believe in Satanism being confirmed into an Evangelical church? That's a little farfetched to me. Either guy was doing it for a laugh (which would still be going against his "religion"). Or he is just joining in with the "lolo s4tan izt kr1eg roar warrr misanthropy!!!" bandwagon.

Being a Satanist and being confirmed into a church makes no sense at all. It's practically a paradox. :s

They didn't know that he was one. And I don't know why that dude even wanted to join the church? He even has sth thing on his msn personal message about "False gods of the bible and koran"

Maybe its a spy :O

EDIT: Oh, and

nah I havn't checked em out yet, I keep meaning too but I have too much work n' shit to do :erk: Send me some stuff tommorow ^^

"False gods" Claiming that someone elses God is "false" is just as silly as claiming a god exists in the first place  If not more.

They didn't know about him being satanic, as said befor ^. I don't know what they would have done if they knew, but they would propably let him still join if he wanted (???)

Psh, I'm a Christian and I listen to Black Metal. Jesus never said I wasn't allowed to listen to the music that entertains me.
You're more than right. Some black metal is kewl, but I really dont listen to it because of the lyrics.

While I respect your opinion, I will NEVER understand why people are like "these lyrics disturb me". I mean, it's not meant to be real, it's entertainment, and EVEN if, just because you listen to it doesn't mean you support the message. Like Dimmu Borgir, I love the music, but just because I love the song "Spellbound by the Devil" doesn't mean I am a servant of the anti-christ or that I take the lyrics seriously :p

EDIT: I mean unless you're a sensitive person by nature, in which case you wouldn't like metal in general, or violent tv/movies, etc.

Jeff Hannemen is cool because he's a Christian but doesn't let it get in the way of Slayers music.

But he also gets -10 cool points for being in Slayer.

Yeah, I get your point, but I just dont like to listen stuff such as behemoth which lyrics are shit bout Christianity... Just because religion is important to me.
But couple Dimmu songs are gd which I have heard though I dont support the lyrics or the message at all.

Yes, I have to admit that I am very sensitive person actually. But I love metal.

keep your bullshit to yourself kthx ^^

HAHAHA! Funny as hell! (see what I did there)

I'm being harsh today yes. Bad experience with Evangelical Christians yesterday.

In the park, with my friends, listening to some Sodom, generally just chatting, socialising, enjoying ourselves.

*Christian Youth workers walk over and make some typically snide facial expressions, probably due to the music*

"Hey, if you guys want you can come over to the evangelical church and hang out there if you want"

"Nah, we're alright thanks"

"You sure, there's a pool table and things"

"Nah, thanks for the offer, we'd rather stay out here"

"Okay *they walk off*

All seems well and good right? Until one of my friends standing near the gate of the park hears one of them say to the other "They'll burn in hell"

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?!"

I've had similar experiences. They are so fucking delusional about the whole heaven/hell meet Jesus at the pearly gates thing. Not to say every Christian/Catholic/whatever is a hypocrite. I live my life just fine without religion, if not better. I am not a bad person as a result of it nor do I believe in Satan or partake in bad/evil acts. I am willing to bet I have done more "Christian" acts of kindness than most self-proclaimed religious people have. It seems to artificial.

@Swabs LOL!! damn those Christian Youth workers...you should have turned on Decapitated or smt...Bloodbath maybe !!!!

Edit: Who the fuck cares about a damn pool table anyways?!?!?!
