Whats to like about them? Shit production and mindless songs does not make a good album. But its tr00 to say the first 2 albums are the only ones worthwhile.

Oh, I don't know, how about the excellent fucking songwriting? Or the mystical atmosphere that their latest albums seem to be deprived of? Or maybe the barrage of melodies that don't sound fucking gay?

Honestly I don't like black metal all to much. Especially noisy BM. Bad Song Writing? Sons is one of the best Metal albums Ever IMO.

And At the Heart of Winter is a Melodic Classic.

I like all the albums, and some of the riffs I heard Abbath play a year and a half ago were phenomenal; hopefully those will be on the album.

Whatever I choose "Gay" Melodic Black Metal over That grim shit, that trys to be evil just for the hell of it. At least Abbath and friends can joke about it and not care what anyone thinks.

Battles in the North - 7/10
Blizzard Beasts - 7.5/10
At the Heart of Winter - 10/10
Damned in Black - 8/10
Sons of Northern Darkness - 9/10

Can't really rate the first 2, never bought them.

Oh and I was sick It took the Sons sound and mixed it with NWOBHM.

Take it in mind that I love Prometheus by Emperor...one of the most underrated albums of all-time, it's a shame noone appreciates it.
