Impulses??

Hey guys, I know that this must have been covered somewhere on this forum but i have yet to find it ... what are impulses, how do you use them, what program(s) do you need?

if someone could even direct me to a thread where this has been covered I would reallly appreciate it and it would be helping me out a ton! I would use the search function but it doesnt seem to be working for me

Check Voxengo's website for Boogex, which is a free VST to utilize impulses. The impulses that you hear about here are used to model a speaker. In other words, you can simply record the distorted signal from your amp, POD, or plug-in distortion, and use impulses to substitute as a speaker/cabinet.
