I received some very sad news this weekend. My friend, Julian Molina, passed away early Sunday morning from complications of liver disease. Julian was a childhood friend of Bruce Conte and was the bassist for Bruce's band up until this past January.
Performing Sun. night was one of the hardest things I've ever done, having gotten the news about an hour before showtime. I'd hoped I'd be able to "power" through, but one look at Bruce when I walked out on stage and I just couldn't stop the tears. The pain and sorrow at his loss was just too fresh.
I loved Julian. He was a gentle, wonderful soul who never had an unkind word to say to or about anyone. He loved to laugh and lived to play his bass and was truly one of the greatest natural talents I've ever known.
I'll miss you, Julian. I know you're in a better place, beyond all the pain and sorrow in this world. Rest peacefully.
