I received some very sad news this weekend. My friend, Julian Molina, passed away early Sunday morning from complications of liver disease. Julian was a childhood friend of Bruce Conte and was the bassist for Bruce's band up until this past January.

Performing Sun. night was one of the hardest things I've ever done, having gotten the news about an hour before showtime. I'd hoped I'd be able to "power" through, but one look at Bruce when I walked out on stage and I just couldn't stop the tears. The pain and sorrow at his loss was just too fresh.

I loved Julian. He was a gentle, wonderful soul who never had an unkind word to say to or about anyone. He loved to laugh and lived to play his bass and was truly one of the greatest natural talents I've ever known.

I'll miss you, Julian. I know you're in a better place, beyond all the pain and sorrow in this world. Rest peacefully.

We were all heart broken to hear of the untimely passing of Julian. To hear you are so sad was over this tragic news was like a shockwave of sadness felf around the world.

In the situation of Tesla Vocalist Jeff Kieth when he is faced with the loss of a friend or pet he writes a song about it.

What You Give is about a dog he had to put to sleep. When people would come up to him & say "Hey it was just a dog" this would enrage Jeff. "I don't care if it was a pet rock, it's how it made me feel."

Song And Emotion is about Tesla's friend Steve Clark.

Where are they now, where are those people who promised him his dreams
Where are they now for this lonely creature on the street
Broke and humbled by the cold reality
Life at the top ain't always what it seems
He turns he leans his shoulder to the wind, Lost again

All alone on his way to the top
Somehow somewhere something was lost
Through it all he knew his only friend was song and emotion

Song And Emotion

"Whell you think I got it made, well in case you don't know my friend died today, and it's tearin me apart"

Miles Away

"So hard to think of you as dearly departed"

Only You

You guys are just the best. Thanks for all your kind words and support. It means so much and eases some of the sadness to express it. I know most of you guys never heard him play but you would have loved him. He was such a pure spirit!
