In Search Of Truth

I do think In Search Of Truth is a wonderful album by Evergrey. Although, I think their turn affected the original Evergrey sound. ISOT sounds different than Solitude-Dominance-Tragedy and The Dark Discovery. The atmosphere on SDT and TDD was..well, darker. I have to say, Different Worlds is a beautiful song though, and one of my favorite Evergrey songs.

Any other thoughts on this album? Do not get me wrong, I think it is great, but I think it sounds a little bit "lost" for Evergrey.

I feel exactly the same way about Solitude-Dominance-Tragedy. ISOT is great though. Then again, I am not a huge prog fan, that is probably why I like the older releases more.

Well, I don't agree to Draconian Demon's statement that they changed the sound in any way. They maybe changed their concept but sound stays the same.

If you listen carefully you'll see that the technique stays the same from TDD, SDT to ISOT.

Curse Soilwork forever! Seriously, I respect Sven's decision, and he is continuing to make quality music. And I have every reason to believe the new keyboard player will fill the void nicely...
