as for all these (black) metal logos, i see them as symptomatic of contemporary society’s tendencies towards postmodernism: like films which point out their own recording strategies, these logos distance themselves from ‘reality’ and point to physical materials which create them — very poststructuralist, rejecting any pretence of neutrality. me likes! :Smokin:

i had no idea of its supposed devilish leanings! don’t most ambigrams have a 180º symmetric rotation? black metal logos i see tend to have a left–to–right mirror reversal symmetry — which arabic calligraphy has used hundreds of years ago!
