Indian Classical-esque Metal

The subgenre doesn't really matter. I have been looking at Metal bands from India but I couldn't find any that sounded very obviously Indian.

Coming from India, I could tell you that 80% of the bands from here look to ape Western bands and suck at that. The rest kick some major ass and quite a few have an Indian Classical feel [either Hindustani or Carnatic] .

I guess you've heard Rudra [Singapore] and the other such bands that infuse Vedic chants etc, with a weird mix of BM and DM?

Although heavily ambitious, I'm hoping to fuse Carnatic Classical with Death Metal someday
